6 WEIGHT LOSS FRIENDLY FOODS



Weight loss can be tasking for many, considering that it would basically depend on hitting the gym and working out for long hours to get rid of excess fat. Well, asides having a good exercise routine, it is
also important that we consider eating foods that will help us combat fat in the body.

Below are six weight loss friendly foods that we can start adding to our meal plan.

Chicken Breast:

Studies have shown that increasing your protein intake compared to calories gotten from carbs reduce the desire for late night meals by half, thereby aiding weight loss.

Leafy Green Vegetables:

Leafy green has several properties that makes them perfect for a weight loss ranging from laxative effect, enhancing bowel movement.They contain nitrites, which browns fat cells (converting fat-storing white cells into fat-burning brown cells). They include, spinach, kale, parsley, swiss chard, lettuce. They are highly loaded with fiber and low in calories and carbs.

Whole Eggs:

New studies revealed that whole eggs don't adversely effect blood cholesterol and don't cause heart attacks. Another study showed that eating eggs for breakfast, instead of bagels, sandwich, doughnuts, increase satiety and made them eat less for the rest of the day.

Cruciferous Vegetables: 

They are of the crucifereae family which include the cabbage, brussel sprouts, broccoli. They are rich in fiber and tend to contain decent amount of protein and thereby increasing the chances of being satiated.

Omega-3 fatty acid:

Foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids such as walnuts, salmon are incredibly healthy both for the general health and weight loss. It keeps you full for a long period of time with low calories. Salmon is loaded with high protein, healthy fat and nutrients. Fishes and sea foods in general are good sources of iodine which is necessary for proper functioning of the thyroid, that aids body metabolism.

Legumes:

They tend to be high in protein and fiber and some resistant starch. These nutrients has been shown to lead to satiety. They include, beans, peas, nuts, soybeans.
