SOME THINGS YOU NEVER KNEW YOU COULD USE YOUR LEMONS FOR
1. Mosquito Repellant: Research has shown that lemons have the ability to repel mosquito bites. Squeeze 6 lemons into 1.5liter of water, bring the mixture to boil, and then allow cooling for 2 hours. Fill a spray bottle with the mixture and spray around your environment, the mixture can also be applied on the legs, hands and hair.
2. To Deodorize Your Garbage Bin: Save left over lemon and orange peels and toss them under the garbage bag. This will keep it smelling fresh.
3. Blonde Highlight: Add ¼ cup lemon juice to ¾ cup water and rinse your hair with the mixture, then sit in the sun till your hair is dry. You can repeat once a week for effective result.
4. To keep Insect Out of Homes: Squeeze some lemon juice into a spray bottle and spray on doors, windows, corners and into any hole that ants might be getting into. You can leave pieces of lemon peel around outdoor entrance. Also you can mix the juice of 4 lemon juice in 2 liters of water and use the mixture to mop the floors.
5. For Dry Cleaning: Cut a lemon into two equal halves and use it to scrub the sweat stained area of shirt and blouse. It will leave the cloth looking new and smelling nice too.
6. Nail Whitening: Add the juice of ½ Lemon to 1 cup of warm water and soak your finger tips in the mixture for 5minutes. You can also rub your finger nails back and forth with some lemon peel.
7. Purifying Blood: We consume a lot of junk food or food with a lot of preservatives and artificial flavor. This build up a lot of toxins in the blood and body but a daily consumption of lemon infused water helps to purify the blood.
8. Mental Health: Research has shown over the years that lemon water can also lift mood and relieve you from depression and stress. A glass of lemon juice can help stimulate mental health and bring you back to normalcy.
9. Removing Warts: The high level of citric acid in lemon juice breaks down the cell of the warts. Being a rich source of vitamin c, which is a potent antiviral that destroys the virus that lead to the formation of warts. Apply a dab of lemon juice directly to warts using a cotton swab and repeat for several days until the warts dissolves.
